How we use your data

What we collect

Your name, email, phone and password (stored only as a one-way hash); your property's address, public records and the details you confirm; your photos, listing description, messages, offers and signed documents. Keystead never takes card details: its fee is paid at closing through your title company.

Why

Only to run your sale: pricing, listing, scheduling, showings, negotiation, contracts and closing, and to keep the records the law requires of a brokerage. Our team may read your conversations with the assistant, and how you rated its answers, to correct and improve what it says.

Who we share it with

Only the people and services your sale needs: your partner broker and partner agent; your photographer; the lockbox supplier; your title company; buyers' agents you correspond with; Stripe for visitor ID checks (Keystead never receives ID images); Postmark for email; Twilio for texts if you turn them on; your browser's notification service (Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft) to deliver phone notifications you turn on, encrypted so only your device can read them; and Anthropic, whose Claude models read and draft for your assistant. We never sell your data.

Text messages

We text you only if you turn on text notices in Account, or add your mobile number when booking a showing. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help.

Your choices

Turn Google autofill, email, text and push notices on or off in Account. Ask for a copy of your data or for your account to be deleted from Account. Signed contracts and transaction records are kept for the period state brokerage law requires.

Security

Everything travels encrypted. Sessions expire, sign-in codes are single-use, and sensitive values such as lockbox codes are encrypted at rest. Every signature records who signed, when and from where.
